The award ceremony for the finalists of one of the largest international awards – CIPD People Management Awards 2020 was held
The Rosatom Corporate Academy was shortlisted for the award in two categories: "Best L&D initiative in the public sector" and "Best employee engagement initiative".
The award in the first category was awarded for creative, breakthrough and effective educational initiatives aimed at solving business tasks that contributed to the success of the organization and its employees. The Academy nominated the project "Developing leaders through the arts and humanities" in the category "Best L&D initiative in the public sector".
The project "Leadership Development through Arts and Humanities" helps industry employees develop holistic thinking and competencies by studying the arts and humanities. The main training formats are:
- Art lectures (regular overview lectures on painting, literature, architecture, history and cinema, in-depth courses, family events, meetings with interesting people);
- special events (developing events in immersive formats - interactive city tours, author's projects, mix formats);
- Art screen at the Rosatom Academy (Rosatom values in the language of art in 3-5-minute videos in the "Museum in the office" format).
The project develops communication skills, empathy, and the ability to make a more comprehensive assessment of the situation and create new breakthrough products and solutions.
The award in the second category "Best employee engagement initiative" was awarded to companies that have developed and implemented an effective employee engagement strategy to meet the current and future needs of the organization. In this category, the Tournament of young professionals "TEMP" was presented.
Every year, more than 1,500 university graduates are employed at Rosatom enterprises. It is very important to understand which employees will work in the company and in whose hands the future of the nuclear industry will be. Therefore, Rosatom pays great attention to career guidance activities for the younger generation. The Tournament for young professionals "TEMP" is a large-scale annual project of the Rosatom State Corporation and the Rosatom Corporate Academy to attract talented young people with the potential to develop and implement innovations. The main goal of the project, which has been running since 2011, is to enable its participants to start a successful career in the industry, provide tools for professional and personal development, help with career path selection, and find new ideas on current business development directions of Rosatom. Every year, more than 2000 students from more than 200 universities, covering about 10 scientific and technological areas, take part in the Tournament events.
